Create your first poll

This guide walks you through adding a poll to a post or page and publishing it.

1. Open the post or page where you want the poll.
2. Click the + button to add a block, search for Poll and select it.
3. In the block, click Create new poll.
4. Type your question in the title area. You can add a short description under it if you like, for example: Choose one option.
5. Add your choices. Each choice is one answer a visitor can pick.
6. In the block settings on the right, choose Single or Multiple under Choice type.
7. Publish or update the post.

That is it. Visit the page, and your poll is ready for votes.

Good settings to check before you publish

• On submission: decide whether voters see the results, a thank you message, or go to another page. See What visitors see after they vote.
• Allow only one vote per device: turn this on if you want to stop people from voting again and again. See Allow only one vote per device.
• Color and Typography: make the poll match your site. See Styling your poll.

Your new poll is also saved in your poll library, so you can place it on other pages later. See Reusing a poll from your library.
